Koers plot

On the last day of summer, six-year-old Kay plays with his brother on his parents' barge. When the boy is called in to change clothes, the atmosphere changes. A car ride to the skipper's boarding school follows, during which Kay feels a growing distance between himself, his brother and his parents. As Kay tries to get a grip on the situation, he learns that saying goodbye means learning to chart your own course.
