Kitty plot

"She made a career out of love."

London, 1783: Kitty, a feisty slum girl, meets painter Gainsborough by stealing his shoes. He paints her anonymously as a real lady and his rich friends are deeply impressed by this unknown lady. In particular Sir Hugh Marcy, who is broke and thinks he can make money from her.
