Kanashiki Kuchibue plot

Miko is an orphan who lives with a group of bums. She always tries to avoid the police, because they would send her directly to an orphanage. However, she wants to find her brother, from whom she was separated during the war. He once wrote the song 'Sad Whistle', which she sings everywhere in the hope that he hears it.
