Kai plot
Kiwa is Iwago's wife. Iwago is a former wrestling champion who is now a blessing. A blessing is someone who buys young girls from poor families and sells them to a geisha house. He is successful at what he does and Kiwa is happy that her husband is bringing in money, but she detests the way he does it. One day, Iwago comes home with a girl he bought from a man who wanted to sell her in China. Iwago and Kiwa adopt the girl. Kiwa takes care of the girl and raises her together with her two sons. Iwago then plans to manage a singer who later becomes his mistress. This creates a lot of tension in the relationship between Iwago and Kiwa.
