Jirô Monogatari plot

Jirô is the youngest son of a prosperous merchant and, due to his mother's illness, is placed in the family of his governess immediately after his birth. At the age of seven, he is called back home to rejoin his parents, siblings, and grandparents. However, these are total strangers to him and he finds it difficult to get used to this new situation. He decides to run away and return to his old 'home'.
