Seven-year-old Jace has already been given up for adoption twice. The boy with Albanian and Greek roots witnesses a massacre from which his entire foster family in Argyrokastron could not escape. After this, he falls into the hands of a bunch of ruthless mobsters who export children for various lucrative reasons. He ends up in Athens begging on street corners and exploring the secret horror of brutal institutions for young offenders.
