Irina, la Mallette Rouge plot

1995, the Bosnian War ends. But the violence between ethnic groups is not going away. Pursued by some militias, nine-year-old Irina flees with her father. However, her father is hit by a sniper and Irina is left alone. She is now at the mercy of herself. She finds refuge in an isolated farm of a Bosnian family and befriends young Malik. But prejudice and resentment will soon disrupt this family's life and threaten the burgeoning friendship between the two children.
