Interdit d'Amour plot

A story about a troubled little boy. His mother beats him. She locks him in a closet when he doesn't go to school and he has to sleep there too. He is only allowed out for a meal. The child thus develops a mania to scratch walls. When he is rescued by the fire brigade during a weekend after solitary confinement, he ends up in a children's home. There he meets a young plasterer. After an initial rejection because he destroyed his work, they form a close friendship.
