In Naam der Koningin plot
September 1898, just after the coronation of HM Queen Wilhelmina. When the oil wells of Langkat (Sumatra) have dried up, the Dutch geologist Morée (Thom Hoffman) is sent to Aceh, which was very unsafe at the time, to discover new sources there with an expedition. Morée is self-confident and has only one goal: to find oil on behalf of the powerful Netherlands-Sumatra Petroleum Company and then return to the Netherlands rich and famous. When the expedition, accompanied by a patrol of the young lieutenant Vierkens (Rik Launspach), gets lost in the jungle, the situation becomes threatening.
