Immensee plot

"A German Folk Song"

People on Immensee are not so happy that Elizabeth (Kristina Söderbaum) is in love with Reinhart (Carl Raddatz), a handsome, charming musician. But that problem is solved when Reinhart is offered a scholarship for further studies and then packs his bags and leaves for Spain. Elizabeth waits in vain for years for the return of her great love. Disillusioned, she eventually marries Erich Jürgens (Paul Klinger), her childhood friend.
