Il Cielo È Rosso plot
Daniel runs away from a boarding school and returns home. Upon his arrival, he learns that his parents have died in a recent bombing. While walking through the ruins, he is approached by Tullio who offers him shelter in an abandoned house. Apparently three young girls also live there: Carla, an eighteen-year-old prostitute, Julia, who is sixteen and has tuberculosis, and Mary, who has a baby. Daniel refuses to go stealing with Tullio and prefers to help Julia with the household chores.
