A middle-aged protest singer falls into a depression because ten years later his songs - which had a revolutionary effect in 1968 - no longer have any meaning for the young people, who only come to pop concerts to gather together en masse. Attempts to bridge the generation gap fail and in a frenzy he kills a trio of youths.
