Hotel Iris plot

Somewhere on the coast of Taiwan, Hotel Iris is a run-down seaside establishment run by a cold and thrifty Japanese woman and her lonely half-Taiwanese daughter Mari. One night, Mari hears a woman's screams from the upper floors. When she investigates, she sees a distraught woman in a red shirt dress escaping an impeccably dressed but violent man with an enchanting cold voice. Mari's initial shock turns into a strange fascination that prompts her to follow the man to learn more about him.
