Hostages plot
This film with a documentary character gives a picture of the fate of the Hezbollah hostages in Lebanon around 1986. The 'company' includes: English TV reporter John McCarthy, AP chief of bureau in Beirut Terry Anderson and the envoy of the Anglican Church Terry Waite. The viewer gets an idea about what must have happened behind the scenes, why politicians did not want to get involved and above all, the extremely precarious position in which the prisoners found themselves. The relentless struggle of the home front is also discussed, the motives of the kidnappers, as well as scandalous deals such as weapons in exchange for the liberation of the victims.
