Hochwald plot
Mario, a sensitive young dancer with a tendency to self-destruct, finds everyday life difficult in the small Italian village where he lives. At a local festival, he runs into Lenz, a childhood friend. Lenz has been away from the village for some time now. Immediately memories and repressed feelings surface. Mario becomes mesmerized by Lenz, who has made his dreams come true as an actor in Rome. Mario decides to follow his friend to the Italian capital.
