Forty-year-old counter clerk Sukran is looking for her son Veysel when one day he disappears just like that. Officials refuse to help her and have pronounced him dead. One day she hears about the arrest of one Veysel, who a day later fled to the city of Mardin in southeastern Turkey. Sukran travels after him.
