Hazel plot

In March 1920, just outside Center, North Dakota, Hazel Miner and her two siblings—Emmet and Myrdith—are getting ready to head home from school. The students have been sent home early because the weather is changing from a light snowfall to what looks like a heavy blizzard. As they struggle through the wind and snow, their sled overturns in a ravine, and the three seek shelter to survive the night. As they struggle to stay warm and awake, their parents and friends frantically try to find them before it's too late.
