Hard Luck plot

"Lucky" O'Donnell (Kirk Harris) is a charming, but slightly unstable man who has spent the past seven years in a mental hospital after being convicted of a crime he allegedly committed when he his friend Eric (Matt Faber) was helping. Less than three months before being released, Lucky is visited by Sheryl (Renee Humphrey), Eric's sister, who was Lucky's sweetheart when he was young. Sheryl Has Bad News for Lucky -- Eric has developed an incurable cancer and has only a short time to live. Lucky decides to escape the psychiatric clinic and finds Eric. They decide to spend Eric's last weeks together.
