Hanabi plot

This film is set in the aftermath of the tsunami and the nuclear disaster following the earthquake in Tōhoku. Something has happened, but life goes on: Tokyo continues to expand; new land replaces contaminated land; islands rise from the ocean. Citizens, farmers, and monks strive, each in their own way, to heal the traumas of their communities.
