Girov plot
In the late 1980s, the Armenian minority in Nagorno-Karabakh attempted to break away from Azerbaijan. Overnight, these former neighbors became enemies. In one of the Azerbaijani villages right on the border lives the family of a farmer named Kerim, who had just been captured by the Armenians. The village council decided to take an Armenian man hostage to arrange a hostage exchange. They locked the wounded man in the barn next to Kerim's house, where his wife and three children desperately awaited the return of their husband and father.
