Funeral at Noon plot

Hagar Erlich is a stranger in a small village. Childless and unemployed, she struggles to find her place in her village and in her own life as a newlywed. She is forced to babysit Yiftach, the neighbor's ten-year-old son. He is a soft, vulnerable boy who knows how to touch her soul. She decides to take him to the ruins of an enchanted, abandoned village - her secret hideout. There, among the ruins, she points the boy to a soldier who has strayed from his platoon: a soldier who has been following Hagar for some time.
