Friesennot plot

A quiet village on the Volga is taken over by Red Army troops, led by a ruthless commissar. They treat the inhabitants badly and the commissioner takes a young woman, born of a Russian father and a mother from the village, as his mistress. The villagers therefore banish the woman to the swamp area.
