Frau Irene Besser plot

Twelve years after the end of World War II, the long-lost Martin Besser, husband of Irene Besser, returns home after a long captivity in the Soviet Union. But land and family have become alien to him. The reunion of the couple does not really work. After all, his wife Irene and her daughter Lotte have built a new life in the difficult times of post-war unrest in the young Federal Republic of Germany.
