Forbidden plot

In Berlin in the early 1940s, the romance between a young countess and the Jewish German Friedlander, whom she meets with a former professor, is forbidden. But they fall in love. She becomes involved in helping Jews flee from the Nazis. Everyone flees Berlin, except Friedlander and the Countess. There is a room in her house where he cannot be seen through the windows. And there is a space in the sofa where she used to play hide and seek with her brothers as a child. This lifelike game of hide and seek involves a high stake.
