Flight plot

"A taut British-Asian family drama premised on toxic patriarchy and how it is challenged."

The story revolves around a Bangladeshi family who comes to live in England. 17-year-old daughter Shikha (Mina Anwar) has a good relationship with her father (Roshan Seth) and plans to go to college, but when she's caught with her Muslim boyfriend, all hell breaks loose at home. Father is furious, punishes his daughter terribly and forbids her to go out on the streets or go to university. There is only one thing left for Shikha: to flee from her father. However, he is capable of anything to get his daughter back.
