Fable plot

Henry Fable investigates malpractice by corrupt businessman Adrian Blake. When Blake has a fatal car accident while chasing Fable, he gives Fable an amulet just before he dies. Shortly afterwards, Fable's wife and son die in a collision with an ambulance en route to Blake's accident. Does that have anything to do with the amulet?
