Ezop plot

The action takes place in the mid-6th century BC. In contrast to the opulence in the tents of the Lydian king Croesus and the house of Xanthus, where Sappho reads her beautiful verses, the slaves work themselves to death in the stone quarries of the island of Lesbos. Aesop is one of those slaves. His jokes, fables and comments about the masters reflect concentrated wisdom, man's insatiable hunger for freedom and happiness.
