Exquisite Sinner plot
Wounded soldier Dominique Prad is recovering in a French seaside town. With his fiancée, he decides to escape the rules and customs of society when he sees a group of gypsies in the city. However, a telex message from Paris urges Dominique to return and he takes over the management of his uncle's silk mill. During his uncle's funeral, Dominique finds out that his sisters have inherited the silk mill. Although Dominique is the manager of this silk mill, he spends his time painting. Dominique's sisters and brother-in-law then destroy his paintings because they think he's a good-for-nothing.
