Everybody's Business plot

Mildred Arden, the editor of the Daily Record, befriends two returned soldiers, Tom Oakes and his blind friend David. David soon becomes proficient as a composer, but Tom has more trouble adjusting to civilian life. Finally, Tom is introduced to Armstrong, an extremely patriotic manufacturer with a lucrative government contract. Armstrong is targeted by a foreign superpower who tries to undermine his company by sending a fake labor representative into the ranks of his workers, only to be exposed. Meanwhile, unaware that Mildred loves Tom, David has fallen in love with her.
