Elbe plot

After twenty years, the two friends Kowsky and Gero lose their jobs at a shipping company in Dresden. Kowsky soon finds out that his wife has a new boyfriend and wants to leave him, and that he is unable to communicate with his son. Frustrated, he drowns and gambles away all his money. Gero, on the other hand, stands with his legs more firmly on the ground. With his sailboat he sails around couples in love. However, things don't go as well as hoped and soon his creditors want to seize the sailboat. Furious, Gero leaves with his boat for Hamburg, reluctantly takes his old friend Kowsky with him. Their street is the Elbe, their vehicle is Gero's sailboat, and they are haunted by their past.
