Thomas Pohl is a publisher of a men's magazine and happily married, until his wife Jacqueline is suspected of murdering her sister Adrienne. Although Thomas once had an affair with Adrienne, this does not appear to provide a motive for the murder. The otherwise self-assured Thomas is completely upset. But then certain tracks in the investigation lead in a completely different direction...
