Ecaterina Teodoroiu plot

During World War I, Romanian Ecaterina Teodoroiu treats wounded soldiers while working as a nurse. She begins to admire their patriotism and will to fight. This influences her so much that she develops the desire to fight in the war for her country herself; a rather unheard-of request for a woman at that time. Eventually, she manages to convince the Ministry of War and her wish to fight is granted.
