Dunkle Tage plot
Her husband's death causes Angela Rinser (Von Borsody) to drink. She has two children. When Max (Kautz) is sixteen and Felicitas (Stappenbeck) eighteen, Angela can no longer hide it. The pair are ashamed of their mother and try to prevent their mother's addiction to the outside world from becoming known, because if it were true, they risk ending up in a home. While mother neglects herself more and more, they all descend the social ladder at a rapid pace. Finally Max manages to break free from home, but Felicitas goes for a drink after an unhappy love affair.
