Dog Days Dream plot

A young and poor couple struggles to survive a long, hot summer in a small rented room. They have too little of everything and therefore no money for the purchase of an air conditioner. The lack of this cooling device in particular is increasingly becoming an obsession in the blistering room. The young man collects paper for a recycling company and earns next to nothing with this unattractive work. His girlfriend works in a Korean barbecue restaurant. You'd think they'd at least have something to eat, but her stingy boss won't even let her take the leftovers. When the man gets tired of lugging paper in the heat and the woman is fired for a misunderstanding, their meager existence begins to take on increasingly absurd forms.
