Die Stropers plot

South Africa, Free State, bastion of an isolated white community, the Afrikaners. In this rural and conservative world where strength and masculinity are the keywords, Janno is a special boy, frail and reserved. One day his mother, an ardent Christian, takes home Pieter, an orphan from the street she has decided to rescue, and asks Janno to accept him as a brother. The two boys engage in a struggle for power, inheritance and parental love.
