Die Nachtschwester plot

Brandenburg, near the Polish border; police officer Konczak has a toothache. Then his boss calls that he has to work an extra shift; he has to guard a criminal overnight in the hospital who is in the emergency department. Konczak regrets ever becoming a cop. In addition, the prisoner is a moody boxer type and the room in the hospital is sweltering hot. Sweat is already dripping down his back when the night nurse comes by on her round. Konczak immediately forgets his toothache and the prisoner.
