Die Nacht der Nächte plot

Beautiful Teresa, wife of a successful lawyer, turns fifty. She trades in oriental carpets, earns nice from them, but feels unsatisfied (in several respects). Reluctantly, she goes home, where her mother and her daughter Valerie are waiting for the birthday girl to put her in the spotlight. She doesn't feel like it so much and she goes out into the night in search of adventure.
