Die Heartbreakers plot
Recklinghausen, 1966. Countless young people play their musical instruments in cellars and garages until their fingers hurt. Schmittchen, Freytag, Horn and Guido also hope to one day become as good and as big as The Rolling Stones. The 14-year-old Pico works himself as a manager for the boys, but the first public appearance of their band The Heartbreakers is a huge disaster. To make matters worse, they also steal one of their amplifiers. But slowly they want to force a breakthrough at a talent show. For fun, Freytag's girlfriend also signed up for it...
