Devastated plot

In argumentative conversations with his wife and mistress, a middle-aged Indian police officer talks about his work as a 'sacrificial assistant': an officer charged by the government with the unlawful killing of Muslim men. Elsewhere in the city, the god Krishna and Prince Arjuna perform a dialogue from the Bhagavad Gītā. When Arjuna's humanity prevents him from fighting, he asks Krishna for advice, who teaches him what his moral duty is as a warrior.
