Des Étoiles plot

Sophie, a young Senegalese bride, follows her husband Abdoulaye from Dakar to Turin, where he traveled without papers to look for work. Meanwhile, Abdoulaye has already left for New York, on the advice of his cousin Serigne, who promised him better opportunities. Abdoulaye's only contact in New York, Sophie's aunt, is on her way to Dakar with her son, Thierno, to bury the man she left twenty years earlier.
