Der Hexer plot

Gwenda Milton is dead. She intended to expose the intrigues of the dubious lawyer Meister. Only now does Meister discover that she was the sister-in-law of the 'Hexer', a feared underworld figure. Wenbury, a Scotland Yard Superintendent, is appointed to investigate the alleged suicide. He soon learns that Cora Ann Milton, widow of the 'Hexer', is on her way to London, probably looking for Meister.
