De Ein Fan 'e Wrald plot

Jeffrey's father is in trouble. He takes his 11-year-old son to an unknown, depressed aunt who lives on a dilapidated campsite in Friesland. Jeffrey thinks it's terrible. Outside the mini camping with strange people there is only emptiness. Even skating is impossible, how will he ever get used to this?
