De Afrekening plot

Hans Gerdsen (Mark Rietman) is a politician who, just as he is running for party leadership, is suspected of embezzling a controversial claim. In the affair that follows, his political friends turn their backs on him. The fact that Gerdsen has been discredited suits his fellow candidate, and also best friend (Gijs Scholten van Aschat). And the current party leader also has his preference. Gerdsen frantically tries to prove his innocence and allows himself to be followed by a television crew for a week.
