Nan Masters is a single mother with four older daughters. Nan plans to marry businessman Sam Sloane, but then suddenly after twenty years her first husband Jim is at the door again. Jim does not receive a warm welcome, but with his warm personality he quickly wins the hearts of the four daughters. Buff, the youngest daughter, is pleased with his approval of her wedding plans to Gabriel Lopez. She plans to run off with her beloved on her mother's wedding day. She doesn't count on Gabriel's unpredictability.
