Das Leben Beginnt plot

A new world opens up for eighteen-year-old Erika when her father flees with her from the small village of Krüselin in Brandenburg to West Berlin. Her uncle's luxurious house, the turbulent life in the big city and the progressive thinking of her smart cousin make her head spin. But behind the world of glitter and glamor is a cold world of money and soon Erika gets homesick for her village and for her first boyfriend Rolf.
