Daibyônin plot
Buhei Mikai (Mikuni), a successful actor and director, is making a film about a middle-aged couple who are both suffering from cancer. After he vomits blood, Buhei's wife takes him to the hospital where the doctor diagnoses Buhei himself with terminal cancer. However, the doctor withholds this information from Buhei, and operates in his stomach with the lie that it is an ulcer...
