Daenseutawoon plot
Jung-Nim Rhee, a North Korean housewife, flees from Pyongyang to the south at the behest of her husband, a businessman whose travels have provided him with foreign connections. Jung-Nim gets to Seoul with relative ease, but trouble starts right after her arrival. After being questioned by South Korean secret agents who try to catch North Korean spies, she is granted citizenship and is placed in an apartment equipped with hidden cameras and a tapped telephone. No longer financially supported by her beloved husband, she is forced to take a job at a laundromat and is noticed by a police officer whose intentions are not called honorable.
