Daemon plot

11-year-old Nick moves with his sisters Jennie and Clare into a large old house, where they are cared for by the Swedish au pair Helga. Their parents are now living in America. Nick is unhappy at his new school, where he befriends the boy Sam, but is intimidated by the teacher Crabb, who is interested in the occult and demons. Nick hears voices in the house and receives messages on his computer screen. He also develops unexplained blisters on his feet and chafing on his elbows and knees. When he dreams that he is on fire and wakes up in a bed filled with ashes, he tells a psychiatrist that he feels that he is possessed by a demon.
