Corinna Schmidt plot

Berlin, 1878. The stately home of commerce alderman Jenny Treibel has touched something in the shabby professor's daughter Corinna Schmidt. She falls in love with the house and starts a relationship with Leopold, Jenny's son. Jenny tries with all her might to end what she sees as a scandalous relationship. However, she must quickly change her mind when the relationship threatens to come out in the open. However, this puts Corinna under pressure to get married. She wonders if she wants to stay with Leopold or if she should look elsewhere for her true love.
