Como Nascem os Anjos plot

Branquina is an 11-year-old girl who lives in the slums of Rio and has a relationship with the much older petty thief Maguila. When Maguila accidentally kills a notorious gang member one day, he goes on the run with Branquina and one of her childhood friends. When they met an American lawyer on the way, they decided to take him and his daughter as hostages.
